I am starting this blog because at this pace, Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard will shatter his own record for strikeouts in a single season. He set the mark last year with 199, and that was while missing 18 games.
At the start of today (April 24):
Games played: 22
Plate Appearances: 99
Strikeouts: 32
By the way, I have him on one of my fantasy teams. I seriously thought about picking Jake Peavy or Brandon Webb ahead of him, but I did not want to look like an idiot and went the safe way instead. Oh yeah, he was my NL MVP as well.
