The Tigers sent pitcher Yorman Bazardo outright to AAA-Toledo.

The Rangers recalled pitcher Thomas Diamond and placed him on the 60-day DL following Tommy John surgery.

The Rangers purchased the contract of third baseman German Duran from AAA-Oklahoma.

The Rangers placed outfielder Marlon Byrd on the 15-day DL with an inflamed left knee.

Red Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis started at third base on Thursday after leaving Wednesday's game with a bruised toe.

The Royals recalled pitcher Joel Peralta from AAA-Omaha.

The Royals placed pitcher John Bale on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 16, with arm fatigue.

The Brewers recalled pitcher Mitch Stetter from AAA-Nashville.

The Brewers optioned second baseman Hernan Iribarren to AAA-Nashville.

Mariners first baseman Richie Sexson did not start on Thursday because of a sore leg and a sore shoulder.
